近未来予想４
ということでネットワークと人間、コンピュータと人間、サイボーグと人間…つまるところ、アナログvsデジタル。
日増しにネットワークに依存する度合いが高まっている。とにかく何もかもがIPで繋がれ、情報が瞬時に行き来する。将来的にメディア媒体すべてがネッワーク上に移行するのか？紙媒体なんかはとくにそうだと思うけど、今でいうピュアオーディオみたいな位置づけになるのか？んー、でも人間は常にテクノロジーを要求しつつ拒否しているところもあるし。ただ、ビジネスとして成立しづらくなるのは間違いの無いところ。すでにCDやらDVDなんかは”自分の所有したいという欲求”にお金を払っている部分があると、リスナーも気づき始めている訳で。
コンピュータが何でも出来る魔法の箱、というのは絵空事の話だった訳だけど、逆に何もかもが今はコンピュータ無しでは成立しなくなってきている。それは色々な意味で人の想像できる域を凌駕したり、まったく違う方向へ進化したり。結局肝心だったのはそのものではなくてネットワークという概念だったんだ、と。
その増大を恐れているのかどうか？どうだろう、少なくともテクノロジーはバラ色のドラえもん的未来も、何もかもが一元的に管理されるような全体主義社会も産みださないと思う。それは常に一歩半くらい先の未来を、一見力無く歩いていくんではないだろうか？エントロピーを増やしながら、ヨロヨロと。
