Sleepers
食べ物が効果を上げる映画はとにかく好きで、この映画も内容のヘビーさを食事の場面が和らげたり、逆にテンションを増したりする。冒頭のアイスクリーマーが階段を転げ落ちるシーン、裁判所前のホットドッグ・スタンドでのブラッド・ピットと親父のやりとり、レストランで一人むっつりと食事をするケヴィン・ベーコン。この映画とアルカトラズで彼のファンになった。ラストの方にある古い友人たち揃っての夕食風景。それぞれの場面で食べているものがとても象徴的に感じられる。
ストーリーはちょっとした復讐劇と群像っぽいところもあって。主人公の華の無さもすごいけど。ロバート・デニーロ、ダスティン・ホフマン、そしてブラッド・ピットの３立て役がとにかく気迫の演技す。この映画のブラピはいいなぁ。どうも無理して変人ぶる映画が多い中で、かっこつけすぎず淡々と、でも仲間との繋がりをすごく大切にしているそんな役柄だ。
この映画のホットドッグ食うシーンはホントにイカすなぁ。
